What is is for?
If there is any chance it will be of benefit to your son in some way then yes you need to go. If you think people are going to be unreasonable about something or need setting straight on the facts, yes you need to go.

Shame though, is nice and sunny and not a day to be in meetings. Good luck whatever it is about.

I felt like this yesterday about a meeting.
I went, bad idea!
Years of meetings, empty promises & paper pushing exercises appear to have turned me rabid.
Oh well, at least they know exactly how I feel now.

I dunno. I was dreading a meeting with Social Services today, which turned out to be more positive than I had feared (if only because the SW brought someone else along for moral support who turned out to be quite bright and so put a stop to a lot of the SW's nonsense).

Could you make the meeting outdoors? People seem so more reasonable and co-operative when it's sunny!
Feel a bit like that for meetings on Friday. Reviews for all 3 DS - back to back. A big part of me would like to say - you don't get anything achieved out of this apart from ticking some box - i only get frustrated as nothing progresses - why don't we call it quits. but there is a little bit nagging me that says, one of these days he's going to say something that resonates and we'll get to the bottom of things. But trust me - it is only a very, very little bit of me that thinks that! Grin

I'm like that about some meetings too - especially the ones with DS's teacher, his key stage leader and deputy head because they have already prepeared what they want to say and do and we are at a disadvantage; and they really don't want to listen........
