That is fab news. We are just about to put in a request for statutory assessment in Kent....wish us luck. I expect a fight.

brandy77 · 22/03/2011 22:43

Im in Kent beautifulgirls,Maidstone, are you local to me? have to say i think its the ed psyche that only came on board on 8th february that has stopped the tribunal, and she is the only person finally that has agreed that my son has problems that arent anything to do with parenting. Really wish I had met her 2 years ago instead of wasting times with CAMHS. Good Luck. xx

Brandy we are up near Dartford. I think we have the Ed Psych on board fingers crossed. We have been having TAC meetings since September and at the last meeting brought along a private speech therapist. She mentioned statementing and the initial response from the EP was "no way, she is not bad enough" but by the end of the meeting had turned her attitude around totally to "get the paperwork in asap as she needs the help". We do have good support from the school for going for statementing so all we can do it hope the EP comes through with a helpful statementing report now. Currently still in the school paperwork stage which I am happy for them to do as they are keeping me well in the look with it all. Also have a paed appt next week as suspected Aspergers so will be doing our best to get her on side to support us.

Let me know how you get on.
