It won't be OK - it'll be great!

Well done little (big?) Evenstar.

What exactly are you worried about?

TheLadyEvenstar · 21/03/2011 11:32

Indigo, I am worried because he has never even had a friend and all of a sudden he has a date lol.

yes he is big he is going to be 13 in July, she is going to be 13 in May.

It was so so funny because they asked/replied via her sister and me lol.

Then sat for the next 2 hours not talking to eachother and both playing on their mobiles haha

awwww thats lovely!!!! it will be fab and they may be perfect soulmates!

IndigoBell · 21/03/2011 11:35

That is probably what a date does consist of between 13 year olds....

Where are they meeting / what are they doing?

If they went to a movie very little social interaction would be required....

At 12 I doubt she's going to 'take advantage' of him. Most likely scenario is this is his first and last date with her and he learns something in the process....

TheLadyEvenstar · 21/03/2011 11:42

oh I don't think she will take advantage of him.

They are going to the cinema together but he has just informed me he needs a new set of clothes, trainers and smellies for Saturday plus £30 as he has worked out it will cost £10 for the cinema and then he has £10 for refreshments in there and can take her to burger king afterwards lol.

OP posts:
IndigoBell · 21/03/2011 11:50

LOL! Brilliant.

He has a plan. He understands he needs to look nice and smell nice. He'll be fine - no, he'll be brilliant.

TheLadyEvenstar · 21/03/2011 11:52

LOL,

I actually think I am more nervous than he is!!

Grin aw bless him hope he has a lovely time wow burger king and a film and new outfit it must be luv

Thecarrotcake · 21/03/2011 12:24

Ahh it'll be fine :)

I am loving the working it all out thing too :)

ds2 (12) has made friends with a girl the same age as him, who has ADHD. They just totally understand each other. She helps him a bit socially and understanding communication with peers... And he helps her with not pinging off the Walls in school.

Apparently their history teacher asked why this girl was so calm in his lesson on Friday, and ds told him he had shown x how to breathe and focus!
:o

all will be well :)

FlaminGreatGallah · 21/03/2011 12:28

How lovely!

Good luck and well done Master Evenstar Smile

TheLadyEvenstar · 21/03/2011 12:36

Aww, lovely! Grin Sounds exactly like my NT (but geeky) DS's (13) first date in Feb, with an equally geeky girl. They went to see Tangled then McD after. He's now been invited to her birthday do @Bristol, which is suitably geeky. So that's twice now! He mysteriously joined Facebook rather recently. Hmmm?

What film are they going to see?

TheLadyEvenstar · 21/03/2011 14:05

I have no idea whats on even lol.
Apparently thats down to me to find out Hmm

Soooo nice. Hope they both have a lovely time, loves young dream. Lol at your ds, got it all worked out £30 new outfit, smellies etc. Hope his date goes to same bother. If it turns into anything then could cost you a small fortune, lol. Bet you'll be more nervous than him on Saturday. Hope all goes well xx

TheLadyEvenstar · 21/03/2011 14:19

Shaz, I am a bag of nerves already lol

I know the girl and her family as they run the pub I go to every some fridays.

Chundle · 21/03/2011 14:30

i think its really sweet :) Do they both have ADHD?? just wondering if they will actually see any of the film or if they will natter all the way through it like my DD would Grin let us know how it goes.

Wonder if he will want £30 for each date.... could be expensive.... you may have to hand over the DLA soon lol

TheLadyEvenstar · 21/03/2011 14:38

DS1 has Aspergers.

jeez, if it comes to it, i'll rent a movie, shut the curtains and buy some popcorn lol

sugarcandyminx · 21/03/2011 14:55

Aww, how lovely Smile. DS is 12 and has AS but I can't imagine him going on a date yet. He's just too 'young' for his age.

BialystockandBloom · 21/03/2011 14:59

Good on him! Grin at the expense. Hope it goes brilliantly - do let us know!

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/03/2011 23:37

I am back, well they met at the corner of the road at 3pm today came to mine, I then was instructed to pick a film for them to see.
They were late for the film they were meant to see, so saw something else, went into the arcade, then took 2 hours Hmm to get home. DS1 walked her home and then got himself a bag of chips lol.

She has just put on her FB (yes she is on mine as well)

I had a brilliant day today and TLES knows why TY xxxx

so seems like it all went well!!!! Grin

BialystockandBloom · 30/03/2011 23:37

Did you ever find out why the walk home took 2 hours?! Grin

Well done TLES ds!
