doc has been to school

Ds came home from school today saying "the man i saw at the doctors was at my school today!"
i am VERY impressed!
we had his pead app last thursday, he said he would come out to see Ds at school, but i didnt think it would happen this quick.
going to talk to school to arrange an app to see his teacher and SENCO, but i dont know if we are going to be waiting on a report, or anything from the pead as he said he was only going to see Ds again in 4-6 months.

im very happy this has happened obv, but im now kinda stuck as to what happens next :-eek.

just wanted to tell someone i suppose. lol thanks everyone xxx

Ooh, that was quick. Hopefully a report quite soon? I can't remember how supportive your school have been, but this certainly won't hurt.

thanks huni. school have been pretty good, dnt get on with the SENCO to well, but as long as his teacher is there its ok lol

Thats good at least you know they are assessing your ds and that can only be a good thing as you will then get help required. also you know you can trust paed as he did as promised. does your ds go to special school? only asking cos my ds does and i know that comm paed goes to school couple of times each week to see most of kids (though daresay even if ms and child has additional needs would be same). my ds doesnt talk so wouldnt be able to tell me, but when i see paed at reviews she always says i saw your ds in class, this day and that.

shazian, DS is in mainstream school, which is why it was such a shock to us and the teacher that he was coming out to see him in school as aparently they so rarely if at all do that.

i hadnt thought about the trust aspect, but yes thats a great way to think, i had thought we had got a good pead as he has listened and actually done something, but i agree that now he has said and carried through on what he said, i firmly believe that he is a GREAT pead!
