DS has nonverbal reasoning on 4th percentile but verbal reasoning fine. Anyone know what games or activities might improve his NV reasoning?

Is he dyspraxic? The dc I support has ASD and dyspraxia and he really struggled with his Y5 CATS (cognitive tests) non-verbal. His spatial awareness is poor. I'm afraid I don't know how to improve it. I'd be really interested in any ideas.

Hi, would things like jigsaw puzzles, shape sorters etc help? Non- verbal reasoning is patterns and spatial awareness isn't it? Or maybe (depending on age) foliowing simple plans to make a lego /duplo model. Would guided junk modelling help him see how things fit together?

Thanks LMG He has always steered cler of that kind of thing, he also has poor fine motor skills so quickly gets frustrated and gives up when having to manipulate things but no harm trying again

How about Tetris type computer games? My DS will do anything if it's on the computer, even jigsaws, that he wouldn't do in RL. Have a look at educational software.
