statement timescale

hi im a worrywort but easy question so can anyone tell me does the 8 weeks waiting for the final statement start from when it was issued to me or from the date i returned it with my amendments, hope i explained that well enough im useless with the jargon

I think fro when they send to you assuming you meet the deadline for returning the amendments. The 8 week part though, I don't think is stautory as such. What is is the 26 weeks overall. I think breaking the 26 weeks into sections helps everyone but is not law. Work out when you requested a SA. They must issue the final statment 26 weeks after the the day they acknowledge your request for a sa.
,if they are ahead of schedule, they may take longer than 8 weeks to issue. If they are behind then they should be quicker than 8 weeks. Hope this makes sense, shout back if not.
