Ds1 is a bit boy today :) ds2 so far has been really good and spent breakfast time staring at the spinny dangle decorations that are up and managed not to get too jumpy. ( HD always finds others birthdays really hard).

The sitting room ceiling is filled with decs and money / sweet / small gift filled balloons and we have ear defenders at the ready for after school!

About to put a chilli pot on and guests are arriving in spaced out times.

ds1 wanted a chilli pot night and money at home, I look at his mates who are all having massive parties but he just wanted to have something ds2 could enjoy as well!

There are a couple of other really nice things planned which are spaced out too.

Can't believe my eldest is so grown up !

Happy Birthday to your ds - lovely that he thought about his younger brother.

bigbluebus · 08/03/2011 12:58

How lovely that he wanted his brother to share his birthday celebrations and make sure that it will be ok for DS2. When my 'baby' DD turned 16 last October (has PMLD) we had a family day out to an interactive gallery so that it was something different and enjoyable for her. However DS (14) moaned from the minute we got there about everything (including the fact thar the building was predominantly pink!)SO having to constantly remind him that it didn't hurt to do something for his sister for 1 day a year, sort of took the enjoyment out of the occassion!
Happy 16th birthday to your thoughtful DS> Hope you all have a lovely day.

A big old happy birthday to Carrot junior. If he's that sensitive to his brothers needs now, he's going to be a right catch for someone in a few years time! Grin

Thecarrotcake · 08/03/2011 14:37

:) thank you folks

if he can sort out the slightly too chilled out attitude toward tidying up after himself, he be a good catch :) and I will be the best MIL in the world ( I am going to be soooo nice to my children in law because my ex pils are horrid!)
