My request for out of County Independent Special School went to panel yesterday.I'm almost certain it will be denied and we'll be off to Tribunal but there's a little glimmer of hope that says the panel will see sense (and I am ever the realist )Can't be done with the waiting so will phone later but could do with some positive vibes.

I have been speaking to every other placement in County and in the neighbouring Counties over the last few days in preparation for the battle ahead.
It has been hugely depressing tbh sort of brings home his difficulties and makes me realise that there really isn't a viable alternative should we lose at Tribunal if it comes to it.

I am going to wait until lunchtime as it will have to be passed through the ranks I suppose. I really think it's a formality that they'll decline tbh after speaking to a couple of other independent placements and being told our LEA haven't funded a single place there this year

bastard LEA! the panel didn't go ahead because there weren't enough panel members FFS. It should go ahead next Monday if they can gather enough people. It just begs the question why tell me the case was with the panel when there was no panel? Idiots they must think I am stupid and can't spot their stalling for time
Will be emailing for confirmation that I have been given the run around already at the beginning of the fight !

It will be a quorum issue. They will need to have a certain percentage of the panel present in order to make decisions. 'Tis a right bugger though, I will send more good vibes on Monday!

for you asdx2. Just had lunch with a friend and we discussed how so many people that we come across in our lives that are supposed to be working to serve the public have a complete apathy in their job. They have no understanding of the frustrations that their non answers give. I assume that there was no apology and reason given - that would infer that they did not do the job that they said they were going to do - which they didn't.
Vibes will be winging their way to you on Monday. Is it the same, that if they don't answer by lunchtime you will ring?
