When dswas in nursery they tried to refer him... I got no not until mum goes to a positive parenting class... Nursery said she knows she's a teacher she used to work here... They said no she has to..so I did. Woman who ran it thought it was stupid, referred me to an sen support worker.

Ds ot referred him again. Got an appt. Ds broke his foot. I called to rearrange for either a Monday or a half term (I teach) chams sent an appt for a Wednesday. I called again... No need either Monday or half term... Sent another appt... Wednesday in term time... Got a really snotty phone call today about wanting to talk to me aboy the appts I had refused... Urrm no.... You refused to give an approprate appt.

How infuriating for you! Wouldn't your Head have given you the time off for the appointment though?

Yup but he has more important medical tests I need time off for. I was at uni last year not working but they refused him an appt then n now they wanna see him but every time they say yes that's fine a diff day they just resend another rubbish appointment. When I called back she wasn't in so I gave her time limits to call. If her child was in my class she wouldn't want me taking time off and disrupting their learning when I have Mondays and half terms for appointments.

Time off is only for major things in my eyes such as his MRI. Bloods... Serious tests not for them to decide they wanna see him after other professionals tell them they have acting badly

I have found similar frustrations regarding appointment times and lack of communication. It's very frustrating when you're a working parent.

Sorted it. After I left a snotty message back she called me saying Mondays were fine and there must have been an error in communication in her office as she wasn't told any information
