Annual Review tomorrow

I am off to Wilfs school tomorrow afternoon for his annual review. Its his transition year (he will be 15 in July) I am fighting to keep him at the college attached to his school when he finishes next September. I have letters of support from his geneticist, gp and paed, any other ideas? I really don't think he will be able to cope with the local college ( he is autistic and profoundly deaf)

Just sending you some support really, no ideas as you sound like you're doing all the right things to me already!
Keep focused (lists, notes, agendas etc), try to get people to take responsibility (not just fob you off with talk and passing the buck), put time -frames on tasks to see that they're followed through, and then chase them up.
SENDIST/ SEN!SOS / IPSEA have you had contact with these they're very helpful.
GOOD LUCK, hope it goes well for you.Smile

good luck Smile

what about the ed psych? They're the ones who carry the most clout round here. Do you have someone to support you going too, parent partnership? Have you got your list of why the local college won't be able to meet his needs? What does your tod have to say?

and of course not forgetting the ndcs, they've got really stuck in with dd3s school problems.

The ed psych normally goes but i dont know if she is this year. I dont tend to use the NDCS so much now, i used to get on really well with my regional officer but he left and i havent really had much to do with the new one.... My sister is coming with me too. The school want him to transfer to college and i told all the health profs what i wanted them to put in their letters!! Wink
