Hi everyone im new on here but need some advice as im attending a dla hearing next week. I have been trying to claim dla for the past year for my daughter who is now 14.
She suffers from aspergers syndrone, adhd, arthritis and hypermobility syndrone. What i need advice on is weather i have to take my daughter with me to the hearing, she is getting really anxious about it and is having panic attacks. She does not like new surroundings and meeting new people and just wants to go to school as normal on that day.

I had a hearing last year and I took my son aged 4, I was told that they do not allow young people into the hearing for just the reasons you have described.
Good luck with it, they arn't that scary really.
