DLA HRC for DS ASD 3YRS

My son has been turned down for HRM for ASD and turned down again after reconsideration. even though both Paediatrician and Portage worker have written to support claim for HRM. Is it worth appealing? Has anyone been siccessful under Severe Mental Impairment rules. Any advise mcuh appreicaited

I don;t ahve the info but i think NAS does- the trick most people seem to find is provingt hat ASD is a physical disability caused by brain damage.

Have you gone through the reconsideration process yet? Might be successful with that and not need to go to appeal, especially if you can quote Paed and portage. Ask the dwp what notes the decision maker made. Definitely appeal.
