my ds has attends slips (not pull up, same as nappie with sticky tabs) no problem with leaking although had to fight to get extra supplies. Hope they dont get changed to same as yours then if they are rubbish. Can you not get onto HV to ask them to change back to Tena. At the end of day they will lose out as they would have to supply more if they are not grest quality then you would go through more. Poor you as if things arent bad enough without extra bedding and things to wash each day.

Hilovethecake,We had similar broblem back last year. The contract changed for nappies in our area and we ended up with total rubbish. We had tena before.Ended up one big battle-telephone calls, letters of complaint then we took pct to health and parliamentry omdudsman. We won our case now have tena back.First port of call was bladder and bowel continence service then move up the system.

were with tena down here in trafford and there crap leaking and such. ive heard the eruons are supposed to be quite good so im surprised at that. you sure you got good fitting products?

lovethecake · 16/02/2011 20:39

Hi Growlybear, I have read your message with great interest When the contract changed did the incontinence sarvice tell you what products you would be having, Do you live in the south wales area as i have had to have home visits from the ontex rep and i was told that all over wales tena had been taken over by ontex, How long did it take to be resolved, and was it just yourselvse that were able to have Tena, thankyou so much for your feedback.

Hi wraith, you dont want to try ontex they are not a quality product, tena are far better, the fitting is not very good and they leak due to the poor absorbency.

growlybear · 16/02/2011 20:52

Hi lovethecake yes they did tell us what product we would be having but we did not know they were so rubbish. No we live in the south east. But the sounds of it ontex are playing games this is the same behaviour we had from the company that supplies us.We have tena slips for our dd and they have certainly not been taken over by ontex they are manufactured by sca hygeine products.Look up tena on the internet for clariffication. It took about eight months to resolve and yes a few others have gone back to tena because we got them back. They still had to fight a bit but not much.

Hi growlybear, I have put in a complaint to the trust and am awaiting further investigations, i have simply had enough, it has been going on since nov,i am not the only parent who has had a problem with this change over so hopefully we will get a result. Are you caring for a child or an adult? as i feel that the products we have been provided with are more suitable to an adult, thankyou for your feedback,

Got it in one lovethecake i care for a 12 yr old dd.When i went deeper into all this a continance nurse told me that when smaller children come out of the smaller nappies they are then put into small adult nappies. These companies do not make childrens nappies as such. The adult service is by far bigger than children so adults take the upper hand which leaves our children to fit into adult nappies.Good on you for taking it to the trust.Hope you get a good outcome.

lovethecake · 17/02/2011 20:31

Thanks for the message, excuse me for asking but what does dd mean?

I live in Derbyshire and a few years ago we were changed onto Ontex (Euron). Before that my daughter was using Tena which were a much better fit than Euron. In fact, Euron is a pretty horrible product as they are really bulky and fit terribly. Been trying to get them changed back to Tena but I keep getting told that it's not possible. Can anyone tell me how I get started? Who do I contact first, who do I write, etc. Thanks in advance.

growlybear · 25/03/2011 18:55

Hi lovethecake we complained about a year ago.Once it went to the ombudsman it was sorted really quickly.
Hi cheekybeauty we find tena a much better fit.It definately is possible to get changed back to tena .but it is a fight.First you have to write to the manager in charge of bladder and bowel services. If you get no joy then go higher to the trust offices for your area. Then they may want meetings with you and the company that supply the nappies. If still no joy then ombudsman.

BakeliteBelle · 25/03/2011 19:35

Every adult product my son has used has leaked. We have now requested a water-resistent mattress from the OT

BakeliteBelle · 25/03/2011 19:36

I will however, ask for a trial of Tena though obviously not everyone rates their products
