does anyone know of a suitable pushchair other than mclaren major for a 10 year old. ds has wheelchair but i would like a buggy that takes up less space and not as heavy getting in/out of car. had mclaren buggy until he was 7 but was getting too big for and kept tipping it up. would be easier with buggy at times like taking on holiday etc. ds can walk, but only when he feels like it, doesnt need support. really for when he gets tired and crowded places because he wont budge. any suggestions would be great. thanks.

My DS is only 4 but is too big for a regular buggy and we were given alvema Ito after a referal from his physio to our local mobility centre. Don't know if it's appropriate for your DC but that's the route we took.

there's a thread about buggy's further down the special needs discussion list. there's probably a link I could put in to take you straight there but am not very techy. sorry!!

how about approaching Elifar (every life for a reason), they helped us to pay for an adapted car seat which should'be been £1,200.

ooh get me with me techno wizardry! hope that link works. But you'd find em on google anyway.

p.s. the forms weren't a nightmare either!
