Ok My DS who is 5 has always had the odd expression of raising and frowning his eyebrows when I am explaining something and he is thinking at the same time.

Lately this is still going on but not as intense BUT over the last 5 days or so I have noticed that if I am talking to him he starts flicking his eyes up as if he is looking to the either side of his head Confused I was having a convo with him last night when putting him to bed about his sisters birthday and he had all these ideas. But as he was coming out with them the same thing was going on. He was lying in bed so you couldnt say it was a distraction in the room or anything.

Just now I had to tell him to stop running his plastic sword accross the wallpaper (he is having a little moment shall we say :o) and while I was saying that daddy just painted it and wouldnt like the wall marked this eye lifting started. Again when I said look at me a mo and explained I was going to cook tea so he needed to calm it down or it will be late dinner the same thing happend.

I asked him what he was doing with his eyes and he said nothing I just see a blob and it goes away if I do that? I asked what sort of blob he just said stare at me mum......now do you see the blob?

I have only recently notice this happening could it be just one of those things or are there any other mothers whose children see blobs! :o

Thanks for replying betty!

I think I will monitor it for a while but for now take it that it is just another "quirk" :o

He does do eye contact but then look away then back then off again so I am used to that. And its not the "oh yeah mum if you say so look" :o

he said if I stare it goes 3D and I see a blob. Now he does have a 3D magazine with glasses so I can assume he knows what 3D is. It could be a story so he doesnt have to look at me :o

you can get things called floaters black blobs of debris in yr field of vision maybe you should take him to the opticians just to make sure as you can see those when you turn your eyes certain ways
