Charming parcel....

Something very strange happened in our house this morning. When I got up early - there was a parcel inside the front door. Someone had posted a nappy bag of dog through our letterbox - some time between about ten last night and six this morning.

This is very strange as we live in a very 'good' area and we are not the type of people to be bothersome. We keep to ourselves and now dh and I work full time - we are hardly ever here.

It is a bit worrying - we do not know if we have upset someone - unintentionally, whether it is some kind of perverse joke carried out by a teenager/kid.......or whether it is meant to be malicious....

I have chucked the bag away - what should we do... I am inclined to think nothing until something happens again.

How awful eidsvold. I would of personally got the police involved as that is really sick, even if they can do nothing about it, it will be logged down as an incident.
Something tells me it is not a teenager/kid prank because it was in a nappy sack????? IMO I dont think a teenager would be so conscious as to put it in a nappy sack. But I maybe wrong.

Start thinking who would have access to nappy sacks and also a dog, as to be able to do this kind of thing to you and your family.

There are some very sick people out there

a lot of dog owners pick up their dogs mess and put it in nappies sacks. i only know this as someone put a firework in the dog mess bin near my old house, and there were nappy bags of dogs mess scattered all over. yuk!

doormat · 09/09/2003 08:19

misdee I take that back but they just leave the dog mess around here, never known anyone to use nappy sacks yuk

poor you eidsvold. It most probably is kids messing around maybe they found it in the bag and thought they would post it in the nearest letterbox - unfortunatley this kind of thing does happen. If you have anymore incidents though I would tell the police then.

doormat I must admit I put my dogs poo in nappy bags and dispose of them in the nearest bin, I hate people who dont clean up their own dogs mess its disgusting. The park on the back of our house is full of dog muck its grossSad

I would l;eave things as they are and assume that it is just a grim one off incident. However, I would keep a record of the date etc and report it if it happens again. What if your DD had of found it first ? Hideous thought as mine would have opened up the bag for an investigate

Oh my God, that's awful, poor you. I'm sure it was bored, silly kids and nothing that you could have done to upset anyone. Even so, what a horrible thing to happen.

it seems strange that it was late night/early morning - there really does not seem to be kids around here - most are little like dd or off to college... we decided to leave it as is and will report it if anything else happens.

The bag was broken where they stuffed it through the letter box so it would have been charming had dd got to it first....

so a horrible start to a day that just got worse..... don't worry about me just feeling sorry for myself
