A lovely, well informed lady at my son's ASD nursery mentioned something called the Denver Programme as being very proven as an effective early intervention method for children with ASD

Has anyone had any experience of this or know anything about it as I am quite intrigued ?

As far as I know only RGO (who posts on here sometimes) is qualified in UK. Its called Early Start Denver Model and its ABA / play based. There is a book you can get on Amazon I think. The research which came out was mainly on under 5's. Also I think it was based on 25-35 therapy hours a week.

Hi Toppy
If you want me to explain ESDM then please email me on [email protected]
Happy to chat about it with you.
It's a v effective model and your nursery person is totally correct that it is to date the only researched method of intervention for toddlers with/ showing signs of ASD
Also most importantly it is easily accessible to
Parents and parents can deliver most if not all the therapy themselves.
