Hi Folks, I saw this in one of the many newsletters I get. I hope its of interest to someone:
After winning the rights to broadcast the 2012 Paralympic Games, Channel 4 is going all out in the run up to the games to showcase British Paralympians and their sports. Keen that at least 50 per cent of their on-screen talent for the 2012 coverage are disabled, the channel has launched a competition to discover new disabled presenters - and they are investing £500,000 in discovering and training the successful applicants.
Whether your interests are in comedy, drama or documentaries, if you think you'd make the cut on screen, Channel 4 want to hear from you.
To enter, visit their web page at www.bit.ly/czjoPE and complete the application form. You must be over 16, consider yourself to have a disability and have a valid YouTube account to take part. The form comprises two written questions along with the usual contact details and you must upload a video clip to answer the question "if you had three minutes of Channel 4 airtime what would you fill it with?"
Full terms and conditions and handy hints and tips on what they are looking for can be found on the website above.
