Grinding/clicking hips

Hi,

We have just discovered that both of Luuk's hips grind/click with every step he takes. Hubby discovered it when he was playing with him.

Anyone else have any experience of this? He is 6 years old ( hips were ok when a baby), has bilateral talipes, hypermobility syndrome and hypotonia.................

Any ideas what it could be?

Called physio and she is coming out tonight to check him out ( and to check his back which seems to be curving more - doesn't have scoliosis yet as it was just muscle problem but getting worse)...xx

hi shazz ds has this and its related to the hypermoblity .Ds wears Afos due to the fact he spends so much time trying to stay upright and stop his ankles from turning that we have found his hips and knees are out of line and that there getting worse as he gets older

Thanks folks. Wewll physio came and although she's not too worried (says she thinks maybe muscle is being caught in the joint - ouch!) she is referring him to Ortho just to be sure.

Just a bit worried that the mobility he has, he will lose over time. He is very hypermobile - physio forgot just how bendy he is, and it's a wonder he has never disclocated anything.

So now we wait for the ortho appt. xxx

Oh, that's interesting roundthebend. This is a funny question, or may seem so, but are your lo's organs all where they should be? Luuk has organ soup - it's all mixed up inside.......x
