I don't like the recent censorship.

I can't believe the back stabbing, and infighting that has been going on.

I also can't believe that thoughts cold not be aired about it.

so, I wish oyu all success with your fights (hopefully LEA ones, not SN board ones Wink), and I expect I will be back at some point.

But right now, I need the break. Divide and rule is not what the SN board is about (or so I htoguht)

Had tried to post a goodbye on the thread that was just deleted so will make this short. I have no idea about the problems between posters, but I've had great support on this board, and I'm very sad to see people going.

Thanks very much to those leaving, good luck for the future, and I hope that you'll consider coming back at some point.

Best wishes
maria (was mariagoretti)

IndigoBell · 25/01/2011 13:49

Aaaaaah. Not another one!

Please don't go.

It'll all blow over soon.

auntevil · 25/01/2011 13:50

Ditto.

rebl · 25/01/2011 13:51

Please don't go. It will all blow over as indigobell says.

coppertop · 25/01/2011 13:53

I hope you enjoy your break but come back soon.

Unwind · 25/01/2011 14:01

So sorry you, of all posters, are driven away by this.

I had just written a long post on the deleted thread, but it has now gone too.

Haste ye back

bigcar · 25/01/2011 14:03

Sad do come back soon

Thecarrotcake · 25/01/2011 14:26

:(

as said it will blow over .. So come back your all dropping like flies!

ouryve · 25/01/2011 16:16

Do come back when you're ready [bsad]

I'm hoping we quickly get back to a point where, even if people do disagree (I never disagree with anyone, oh no, never, not ever!) they can state their opinions respectfully and calmly. Tempers have been running high, which makes me quite :(

Lougle · 25/01/2011 16:19

Silverfrog, I won't say don't go, because I understand you completely. I will say 'come back soon', though Smile

BialystockandBloom · 25/01/2011 16:22

Sorry to see another longstanding poster go. I've read and lurked on many of your posts and have gained much from them.

Hope you come back.

ps Can anyone tell me what has been going on, why are so many posters leaving? Sad

Spinkle · 25/01/2011 16:25

Hope you do come back.

I must be missing all the kerfuffle. I dont understand what has been going on...

starfishmummy · 25/01/2011 16:30

I seem to have missed all the commotion - I did notice loads of new stuff over the weekend, but didn't have a look.

I do hope that people will come back after a while - I hadn't even got to know everyone (of the regulars) and now they're off!!

WetAugust · 25/01/2011 19:08

Silverfrog

I understand.

I'm starting to feel it's time to go too as there will be too few of us 'experienced' to answer all the new posters queries.

Lougle · 25/01/2011 19:17

This is all so sad Sad

I stopped really posting a while ago. I doubt it made a difference to the board, but I just felt burned out. Exhausted.

I still lurk each day, though. Events of the last week have just proved what I said on another thread.

There was a massive rush to be part of something. But when all settles down, the mainstream boards are business as usual. It's the SN board that has been decimated. People have already moved on.

It is all of us who are still in the same situation we were in last week. What has changed? 3 hours per week increase in respite until April for Riven. Big deal, hope it was all worth it. 27 hours of extra help, in exchange for a lifeline shattered for many. Not Riven's doing, but just shows how much 27 hours of care really 'costs', doesn't it? Sad

Marne · 25/01/2011 19:18

Please don't go Sad

I do understand though, i have been tempted to go myself but theres just a few of you that i couldn't bare to leave.

DJAngel · 25/01/2011 19:25

Silverfrog, I'm sad to see another experienced poster taking a break but hope you'll be back soon..

I seem to have missed all the stuff going on that's been really hostile.. It's a shame though as I felt this was a place where people could manage different opinions respectfully and amicably in the past.

Sometimes though if the outside world is being particularly shit, some of it will end up leaking inside a group - if that makes sense. In some ways it's maybe surprising it's not happened more but it's a shame coz in these troubled times we'll need each others support more not less. But understand longterm posters wanting a break from the tension.. Take care all.

WetAugust · 25/01/2011 19:25

I went to work

I came home and found this thread.

I haven't a clue what happened today except that a thread got pulled by MN. It was probably the one last night that 2shoes said she had reported.

You know - if some of these people put as much energy into sorting out their issues as they do in maintaing petty vedettas they wouldn't need to be on here seeking advice.

Meanwhile we have many, mnay new posters - all wondering,. as I am WTF????

It really pains me when I see a thread with 1 post - someone has asked for help and noone has answered. I always make a point of answering these. I won't be able to now as there are just too many unanswered 1 post threads because everyone else who might have helped has gone.

FFS - can you not all put your petty differences aside and cast your minds bcak to the time when, like these new posters, you were desperate for help - and remember that someone answered you.

Or would you prefer to flounce off because of a pathetic tiff?

< DISCLAIMER: This is not aimed at any one person - don't read too much into it >

intothewest · 25/01/2011 19:26

I'm sorry that several of you feel this way.The mainstream boards are back to normal (yes- that was always going to happen)

but it needn't be the end of the support that we give each other on the SN board. We know our problems remain-we know we have fights to come.

good luck to all of you who feel it is time to move on- but your experience and support would be welcomed back with open arms when you have had time to rest and recover

WetAugust · 25/01/2011 19:42

3 hours per week increase in respite until April for Riven.

Pathetic!

If she'd followed through and done the interviews she'd have got a lot more.

And she's played her trump card now.

HecateQueenOfWitches · 25/01/2011 19:44

backstabbing and in-fighting?

On MN? Or on the SN board?

You're saying on the SN board, aren't you?

I'm really sorry to hear that. I thought this was a very supportive place.

WetAugust · 25/01/2011 19:47

Not any more Hecate

It's turned into a right bitch-fest.
