OCD?

My dd has recently shown some signs of OCD. Have googled it and although she has some of the compulsive symptoms doesn't seem to have the obsessive ones - eg she will only walk on one side of me to school, and gets upset if she gets ahead/behind or if someone or thing gets in between us but doesn't seem to be worried or anxious about anything. She was playing marbles yesterday and got v upset when her marbles got mixed up with the others. There are lots of other examples I could go into. She can't explain why she does it, have tried reasoning with her, and occasionally getting cross, as it can be disruptive for others but everything seems to make her more upset. She gets very emotional. She has also had a tic now and again which comes and goes. I would like to nip it in the bud but am unsure how. For all I know I could be doing the opposite of what she needs. Anyone with similar experience?

Thanks for your reply. She is 8. I did ask her what would happen and she says "nothing she just really wants to". I try to reassure her all the time and let her know that she can talk to me about anything that's worrying her no matter what. This is why I think she has the compulsions rather than the obsessions - although from what I have googled that seems almost impossible. She has had some problems at school - generally it is thought she has some mild autistic traits although nothing strong enough to require diagnosis apparently. I just don't want this to become a bigger problem for her.
