We are coming to the end of our Hanen programme training and it has been fab. Our main goal was to get dd1 using more language - spoken and signed and to work on combining words... starting with simple things like - more please, biscuit please etc.
We had to do a video session the other day and I did getting her dressed focusing on giving her the word ON and then OFF. She did really well - shoes on etc....
then DH worked on her football skills - taking penalties through a doorway in our front room. She did really well - adding the GO at the end of ready, set go... her focus for this was to get her to say/sign BALL (she can do this but reluctant) and expose her to the word KICK ( as a focus) THe kick eventually came at the end of dh's session..
THEN when the video was turned off - dh was mucking around kicking the ball and
MADAM said
Daddy kick BALL! most words she has ever said and so clear!! We all just stood and looked at her - dh, me and the SALT. As usual though - not on film for us to see.......
She has just done so well
