Sorry for the rant but............................
I'm already getting the Personal Care component for my ds and I put in a claim for the Mobility component in August as he cannot walk.
This morning I got two separate letters from DLA:
a) To let me know that they are dealing with my claim (dated 28/09/05)
b) A Renewal claim pack telling me that his personal care stops on 30/03/06 and to send it back to them by 30/12/05 (dated 03/10/05)
I just phoned them up explaining that I would be just repeating myself on the Renewal claim, only to be told that I can either:
a) Send back the Renewal forms now, or
b) Wait until I get a decision about the Mobility before sending back the forms.
So by her reckoning, I will have to send the forms back either way - she did say that if I had a photocopy of my original forms (which I have) then I could just write it out again on the new forms!
What a waste of time, energy and paper
