wow, Borderslass, I have to do mine every 4 year, it totally messes with the blue badge and motability car!!

borderslass · 10/01/2011 09:51

2shoes we had the visitor come from DWP was really straight forward, we had to set a bank account up in his appointees name only but to do that I needed a letter from DWP to say that I was his appointee.

Not sad at all!

It must be such a weight lifted off your mind, no more forms to fill in, and knowing tht she is sorted with DLA for the rest of her life!

I was happy enough with DS2 getting it for 4 years!

2shoes · 10/01/2011 15:26

just spoken to dd's pead, we are now going to be reducing her epilepsy meds.......yikes, scarey stuff.

we got an indefinate award when ds was 5 but i wonder if, when it all changes to the new PIP, the indefinate awards will still stand, anyone heard anything?

donkeyderby · 10/01/2011 17:26

Fantastic! That is brilliant. But why hasn't she - and my DS - got this before?

TheArsenicCupCake · 10/01/2011 17:33

That's fantastic news ( the dla)

and hand holding on drug reduction side of things

flyingmum · 10/01/2011 18:54

Well done. We too got an indefinate award - lower rate for both elements so less than we get now but perfectly justified. I was really surprised - I thought we would get turned down. We are also having the visit. When is yours 2shoes? Ours is in half term and I'm not sure what they will ask. I presume they want to see that the person concern exsists and isn't being manipulated in any way. I put down to be DS1s manager of the account thingy because he's not even 16 yet and I don't know what's going to happen when he is in college and away boarding. He left his wallet on the school playing field once and if he does that at college then that and his card will be gone - it might take him days to realise if I'm not there to nag him. I'm hoping he will be able to manage his affairs though within a couple of years so here's hoping.
