Well forum for the dc's is nearly done folks fighting and I are admins so soon as it's finished our dc's can all have a natter.

The weeks not been too bad here but glad it's Friday as I'm not sure how much more ds could cope with this week.

I'll be on and off tonight as I have a few bits on the dc's forum to finish up :)

Thanks, that's really encouraging justabout.

I had a feeling it wasn't going to go well with the school lessons, but he desperately wanted to go and the first two lessons were great, which kind of built up false hope. Now pretty much all the children from last term's group have completed their 25m and the next group is starting this term. Ds is painfully aware that he's the only one that didn't learn to swim last term. Sad

He struggles with low muscle tone, lack of coordination and almost non existent core strength as well, which the teachers at the main baths where the school go just don't seem able to grasp. It means his body tends to sit low in the water and he struggles to float at all. Despite a whole term of lessons, he still needs several floats/noodles to keep him up in the water.

There is a really good local teacher, who teaches in the pool at her home and Mum or Dad can get in the water as well to aid confidence, but she has over a 12 month waiting list. Hmm I am currently looking at a couple of other options for him to have private lessons, although he still wants to go to the school ones, mainly because his best (and only) friend will also be there this term.

I'm dreading it to be honest, every Monday evening is a nightmare, as he goes swimming on Monday afternoons.

Oh yay. Woke up this morning to my granddad telling me I may lose my DLA because the news said they're reassessing 300,000 cases. Joy of joys the fight may have to begin. Although he's been saying that for ages, and also my mum says my claim is indefinite. How that works when some of you can only get 2-3 years a time I don't know.

Just wanted a moan and didn't want to start a new thread.
