I work as a Researcher for the Royal London Society for the Blind, a charity whose mission is to remove barriers to personal fulfilment and social inclusion by providing a range of services in London and the South-East that meet the needs of blind and partially sighted children.
I?m conducting a research project that will help the organisation to more effectively understand the experiences parents of a visually impaired child with a special educational need have during the assessment and statement process carried out by local educational authorities.
In the hope that there are many parents willing to share their experiences and opinions, I?m looking for parents of blind or partially sighted children who have been through a special education needs assessment and statement process and who would be willing to take part in a short questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of 16 questions and takes no more than 5 minutes to complete.
