Bloody awful first day back!

Ds didn't want to go in today but this is understandable as he always takes a few days to settle back into school. I have just collected him and he has come out with tears pouring down his face. Is having a different teacher for couple of days but not a supply-a different CT. This obviously upset him and he said he has been feeling angry all day and has been a bit tricky i.e not really concentrating etc. He said that CT shouted at him in front of the class - "the HT has said that if you wind me up too much I have to send you to her". Later in the day when some classmates were looking at his work - "are you happy now you've got some attention?". To cap it all when he did some writing about our pets she told him that she had killed one of these animals by not giving it water! FFS. He has emotional, behavioural difficulties and sensory processing issues.I will be writing to HT but not sure it will get us anywhere. So much for fighting to get a statement - don't know how he's going to manage tomorrow.

Your poor Ds, sometimes I wonder why people worrk with children.

All of those things would be horrid said to any child, to say them to a child with sp needs is awful.

I would go in and see the HT and put it in writing.

Sod that.

I'd have that teacher's head on a stick. You wouldn't say that to any child...

Complain!

I agree with Ineedalife, def go in there tomo. If he is subjected to that again tomorrow you may end up with him totally refusing to go ( and quite understandably). What she did today is abusive and should be dealt with. She needs a different job!x

How awful! She sounds like she is in the wrong job.

I'd go in and complain rather than write a letter.

Hope he is ok now he is home.

I can't get into school due to work. Will write letter and see what response is. I am suggesting that he is put into a class with another teacher that he knows and who understands him. Can see no justification for making remark about the pet other than to cause him upset which us just wrong.

That is appalling. Sad

Take him straight to the head teacher in the morning and tell him/her about the unacceptable attitude of the class teacher.

I'm not surprised your poor lad was upset - that sounds like a "boy" reaction rather than an "SN" reaction!!
