and maybe inserts.

have noticed her ankles are really rolling inwards now when she walks, and is spending more time on tip toes.

was so hopeful she wouldnt need any extra help, but she is so flexiable.

Will get HV to look at her when she comes in the new year to see new baby.

DS2's ankles do that when he cruises. He has piedro boots, gaiters and physio.

get her seen sooner hun, just call whoever saw her at hospital and ask them to refer.

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 22/12/2010 20:40

that was over a year ago and at stanmore hospital. HV will be here in the new year, for new baby checks. if i get her to call docs thy will fast track us, rather than me going down there every day at 8am to try and get an appointment iyswim.

Hope your dd gets seen soon, it can take a while to get to see a physio and orthotics/surgical appliances but it is worth the wait. Depending on how your dd is coping it might be worth asking for a referral for O.T. too.

The inside of my dd's ankles really do touch the floor when she walks. She doesn't see a physio very often, but we do have exercises to do at home. Physio also suggested the Wii Fit for core stability exercises, and dd enjoys this when she isn't too tired to manage.

Dd has DAFO's and orthopaedic boots (local hospital changed supplier to one that's cheaper than Piedro's and they aren't as nice).
