adhd and school

my ds ticks nearly every box for adhd but not for school hes very bright and well behaved because of free choice and routiene does this mean it wont be adhd?he shows the symptoms at home,out,other peoples houses

my ds has dx of adhd, I think they have to show significant impairment in two seperate situations, such as home and school.
my ds is much much worse at school than at home.

ok thanks for the reply i didnt know if it was because ds is in reception so not really sitting down etc ive battled for over 2 years and ive always thought adhd as he has all the symptoms apart from school and all the other things such as asd he has some but not as many symptoms as adhd

The second setting doesn't have to be school, but it needs to be somewhere they spend a fair amount of time.
