Ds went to see santa at dd school today santa arrived in a sleigh in a tailer pulled by car.
After ds had waited for his turn he gets there and santa said arnt you lucky not having to walk and having a seat to sit down in instead of standing and waiting .

Yes santa he is lucky that he cant walk and needs a wheelchair

people often say bizarre and stupid things because they cannot think of anything else to say - still very though !

Santa probably meant it well - trying to be positive about being in a wheelchair! People just say stupid things because they havent got their brain in gear.

Could have been worse 'Poor you having to be in a wheelchair and not able to walk!!!'

sneezecake if i had a quid for everytime someone saw Ds and went bless him I would be rich.

No ds was fine he did not understand what he was saying but Dd did she walked away muttering good job hes not the real one becuase he is not very nice dd is almost 8.

She has a very strong sense of justice when it comes to ds3 and will quite often mention if she thinks somethig is not very disabled friendly

I did not say anything and am suspectine santa might suddernley realise he opened mouth put foot in it all the way up to the groin

Santa is often a bit of an eejit. So uch so I now confir soe things before we see Santa. My wee boy doesn't eat/drink orally at all.,

Try explaining to a very aware 6 year old why Santa has given him chocolate that a) he's allergic to and B) can't eat anyway!!!
