Two very well spoken ladies in their 60s chatting away,;looking at wheekchair space, one said 'Isn't it awful that shops are being forced to make adjustments for disabled access. If I was disabled I'd be happy with a reasonable choice of shops, I wouldn't expect ALL shops to accommodate me' Other woman said 'yes, it's so unfair, shopa will have to close'.

Shock

I think this might be one thing that will come back to bite them on the bum in a few years! Wonder what will happen when their favourite shop is inaccessible to them.

chocolatespread · 10/12/2010 12:09

HmmPeople with disabilities can be just so unreasonable, can't they?

FanjoForTheMincePies · 10/12/2010 12:10

Right on bigcar.

TryLikingClarity · 10/12/2010 14:57

What a silly thing for those ladies to have said Confused

They are prob the same type of people that think children should be seen and not heard and that women should stay home and cook all day.

anonandlikeit · 10/12/2010 18:40

2 ol'biddies with far two much time on their hands & all sensible conversation obviously exhausted.

purplepidjbauble · 10/12/2010 19:07

Or all brain cells exhausted, anon?

donkeyderby · 10/12/2010 19:13

They are probably the type who think that everything is PC gone mad and that the European Union is going to ban salt and vinegar crisps and yorkshire puddings

willowthecat · 10/12/2010 19:33

Presumably they are only expected to want to go into a wheel chair supply shop ?

FanjoForTheMincePies · 10/12/2010 19:36

yes, or to be grateful if they can go to one shop to buy milk and bread!

Different tack but.......I recently went to view a special school for my son.

The person showing me around the school asked me to "spot" the autistic child!! (shock) I couldn't believe it! "oh" she added "they do tend to stick out, it won't be difficult".

Needless to say, my autistic son WILL NOT be attending that particular school.

FanjoForTheMincePies · 12/12/2010 19:10

i think you should have played 'spot the idiot'!
