Sorry but I just have to share.......

Well after just less than a week of having 2 real food boluses each day through his tube(1st real food he's ever had)my boy complained he was HUNGRY at 8pm!! Went on to say he couldn't get to sleep because he was hungry!! (truly his mother's son!). He
wasn't due to be fed his last bolus until 8.30pm!! So I just gave him more real
food for supper, his 3rd BD bolus today. I am truly amazed. And he's had almost
700ml of water today (double what he used to tolerate).

This is the 1st time in his entire life that he has indicated that he even
understands what hunger is!! He's had persiod where his gut was so poorly he
wasn't fed for 2 weeks and he didn't complain then of being hungry. That's the
healing power of real food for you.

Sorry for all the posts, but I a truly amazed and so excited (and feeling
slightly guilty I didn't try this for Luuk several years ago!)

Can't wait to tell the dietician now !! xx
