Hi

Check out
www.cotss-ip.org.uk/
you should be able to find one there. Just check they've got Sensory Integration (SI) training.

Good luck

Hi mumof2terrors - we are newly diagnosed with ASD here. I have just made contact with a localish mother and she kindly sent me an email with some bits of advice and useful numbers in it - she has been a beacon in the dark for me this week ! One of the numbers is that of an OT she raved about. The OT is based in New Malden (which is a bit far for me) but sounds perfect for you. I will message you with the details rather than post her number up here. I rally hope she can help. good luck

Hi ya

It's a bit further away from you but The Sensory Smart Child in Walton on Thames (Terrace Road) is fabulous, cannot recommend them highly enough. They specialise in sensory integration therapy and are paediatric OT's. Our dd started there when she was around 20 months old and she had so many issues with touch, very sensory seeking etc (although she wasn't diagnosed as autistic until a year later). After a few months there her sensory issues were fewer and some were gone completely.

Also, forgot to add they have a fabulous therapy room, its huge and has an enormous ball pit, various swings, heaps of stuff, our daughter loved going :)

Lynda Shaw works in that area. Can't recommend her highly enough but I know she is very booked up. Worth trying her though. Her details are: Lynda Shaw -Paediatric Occupational Therapist 07950 918 081 or [email protected]

I would recommend the Sensory Smart Child. They have been great with my DD who had many issues. Worked really hard with her on SI.

thanks guys i have called both lynda and carol and both are booked up until march..the fantastic thing is that my salt, portage co-ordinator and now the OT have all worked together in the past and have a great deal of experience. Thanks Eloise i will look into the centre

hello
Just saw your msgSmile. There is very sweet OT clinic opened last year in New Malden. Great stuff! All new latest equipment and very friendly. My SALT recommended them to my hugely dyspraxic and SI troubled son. He is very happy there, and the best part is while he is having his treatment they treat me to my favour biscuit and lovely coffee, nice waiting room to.
Hope it is not to late for you to check it out, as I just founded my self.Smile
