Got the draft statement today. It's littered with lots of 'DS will have access to... groups, safe place, hey person, groups to discuss social stories etc etc'
It also seems like a lot is left with school/teacher e.g. 'teacher will plan an individual behaviour plan to include' stuff like guidance about managing sensory issues, modelling social problems.
This has got to be rubbish hasn't it? Why would you leave a child who needs a statement in the hands of the school and teachers who don't know what to do with him. How on earth would a teacher draw up and implement such a plan?
Oh and he's been given 15 hours.
I will be seeking advice from usual channels, but througts welcomed!
