DLA Renewal Again !!!

I've put ds' teacher down on the DLA renewal form as someone to contact to get more information from. There is also a section where another person can supply relevant information. Is it worth asking the teacher to fill this in (they say it is optional) and just waiting to see if they contact her ?

I put ds's teacher on the form, and asked a friend who also works supply in the school and helps out their a lot if she would do the other section. I thought the supportive opinions of two people might carry more weight. Do you have a second person you could ask, it says it can be a friend or even a relative?

I think that makes sense - I was thinking it might speed things up if I don't have to ask the teacher to fill in a page but I see now that it won't if all that happens is a delay when they try to contact her !

Thanks very much Smile

That's a thought too - though don't really have anyone else except ABA tutor

Have friends and relatives but they would not know how to write DLA jargon but suppose I could draft it for them

That is what I would do. My friend knew how it all affected him, but I just helped her to use the right terminology.
