Is this a new record?

So the honeymoon is over, we knew it would not last. We won FT ABA at Tribunal in October. New Statement has been issued and three days before Shock the new statement was issued we received a letter saying they wanted to call an interim review of the statement in January - on the pretext of a transition into school review.

I have replied that transition will require his ABA person who accompanies him currently to part-time nursery to simply turn up at a different address (except put more politely)

Harrassment? Bullying? Victimisation? Or just total incompetence?

Sadly when I reported gross negligence in their provision last year - which was effectively upheld by Tribunal - they never carried out any reviews or monitoring at all.

Clearly good quality provision requires significantly more scrutiny than crap provision. So much for a lack of resources.

If I was wearing one of those stress monitors it would be off the chart. Grrrr!

Oh, don't worry. Your parent advocate is quite good at this stuff.

We lost as you know, but we won excellent provision (on paper at least) and they wanted us to review in November (After statement issued in Sept). We managed to put a stop to it.

You can argue that his needs won't possibly have altered enough by then. That ABA is very good but not THAT good. That the poor boy has been observed and prodded enough as has the family and you feel the statutory 6 months review is appropriate and anything sooner would be wasted resources and poor value for money.

However, you would be willing to meet with the school to discuss transition and you would like to invite his class teacher to observe a session at home for her planning and knowledge purposes.

Agree with Star.

If they insist then raise a formal complaint. It's a waste of time and money and will cause you unnecessary distress.
