Our Ed Psych was involved in DS' diagnosis so not really sure.
Who made the diagnosis for your DC?

Not sure DX relevant - if he is having problems at school and they could do with advice about how to proceed, then you should be entitled to see Ed Psych - I don't think our Ed Psych service gives priority if you have a dx, but it may vary from one region to another. Our school is allocated a number of hours per term, so SENCO decides who to allocate the appointments to AFAIK- however you can refer yourself without involving the SENCO - I've no idea how they prioritise in that case.

Your school has a certain amount of hours per term to spend on an Ed Psych.

They will never want to put your son to the top of the list - but if a paed asks them to then they pretty much have to.

So, I would talk to the SENCO, but pretty much demand for it to happen this term or next term.

Good luck.
