Any tips or advice? I'm quite nervous really, more so incase they tell me I'm being stupid and there is nothing wrong with him and then again if there is something wrong.

This is my original thread about DS.

Thanks

I hope you get some answers and something to help. Has anyoen been out to observe him? have preschool said anything more?

WaftyCrank · 07/11/2010 18:17

This is the first I have heard since his GP referred him.

His preschool have said he has settled a lot more and doesn't scream as much which is good.

He has 1 to 1 supervision as he can be very aggresive as he can't use language to express himself he tends to use his fists unfortunatly.

They have also mentioned getting their own SENCO in to observe him then if the Paed he is seeing this week doesn't think there is anything wrong we can have a second opinion. Not sure when this is happening but I have filled out a form with my concerns and signed it to say I am happy with him being observed.

Thanks for your reply Lenin, he does tick some of the boxes for PDA so will keep that in mind.

Just bumping this incase anyone else has some last minute advice before tomorrow although I'm trying not to think about it too much.

just - give full and honest answers to all the questions. and be prepared for them to ask about all aspects of his development from your PG/birth onwards.

Last minute advice is to print out your posts and bring them, along with anything else in writing about your ds. Also to write down your key points and make sure the drs have heard everythng you need to tell them.

Thank you both, I have wrote down everything about him I can think off from pregnancy to now so fingers crossed it's enough.

Appointment in 30 minutes so feeling a bit nervous.
