Confused over timings for SA

When I rang the LEA I was told I should be receiving a proposed statement in the middle of Nov. But the ten weeks are up this Fri so should I be receiving it this week?

Sorry to sound so dim but I can't get my head around the timings at all!

Must be the increase in my meds, things have all been a little difficult since dx but carrying on as we all do.

Sorry a little off topic there. Also when proposed statement arrives am I right in thinking we have 8 weeks to finalise?

TIA

They are probably going to post it second classHmm

That wouldn't suprise me! And to think I post everything to them, as I'm sure you all do, registered and signed for!

Hand delivered once and they said it hadn't arrived!

The ten weeks is to collect information and decide whether to make a statement. By the end of the ten weeks they should be able to tell you whether they will be issuing a statement or a note in lieu (it's rare to get a note in lieu though).

Then the LA has another two weeks to write up the statement and send it to you.

Yes, you'll have eight weeks to finalise from when the proposed statement is sent to you. If you request a meeting though it can take longer.

Ah thanks for that.

Another two weeks to wait but they have said we will be getting a proposed statement so no note in lieu.
