got the form yesterday; only a few days to do as ds1 lost the first one; why they passed something so inportant to him I will never know.

So- ds1 is up for a palce at a specialist AS Base, that has to go first: 2 places, 30 kids on 'final list'.

Local comp goes second- except that never goes to second places; usually twice over subscribed as is a good school (not for asd imo but generally).

Next school, third, most likely then. We won't qualify for transport due to distance, and the drop off time is EXACTLY the smae time as ds4's nursery then school satrts, and ds3's SNU taxi pick up arrives.

there is actually no way of winning is there?

I have told them that should ds1's behavior deteriorate we will seek residential and that his behaviour correlates with school experiences so have got halfway there I guess. Was a genuine if desperate comment though.

Just had house confirmned for year so at least that is sorted- wherever we get is where we get IYSWIM.

Depressing thing is that ds3 is in year 3 so only 2 yeras until we start transition planning for him and it's same old- only one placement he could access (a mixed DX unit for moderate SN). But we'll worry about that when we get there

Dd is y3 also I can envisage her in mainstream tbh so hopefully no need for another battle and her statement will guarantee the school I want and not the catchment school which is further awayConfused
It sounds like your area is even worse off than our area for placements. Your ds3 would have a whole host of options available in our LEA.It's the more able that struggle here tbh.

DS3 attended MS for a year, mostly aprt time: went from happy to miserable, acquired permanent scarring to his face and learned sod all.

never again!
