Hi - I was hoping for your help again please!

My ds has his first neurology apt on Wednesday and I don't know what to expect. He has GDD - his MRI and EEG are clear so what exactly will they do/or be looking for?

Any advice or tips would be much appreciated!

Not sure but wanted to reply to give support. Hopefully someone else will be along soon to offer proper advice.

They will probably take a long and detailed history and do a physical examination. Smile

Hi You seem to have done things the opposite way round to us!!! Our dd, who is now 11 months, was referred to the neurologist by the paediatrician. She also has global development delays. The neurologist arranged for us to have a skull xray and a brain MRI. (Ours were also clear). The other thing he did was reflexes etc, trying to work out how her muscles were working. Maybe that's what he will do. I know they occassionally arrange muscles biopsys. But I think that's rare as it's so intrusive. Best of luck.

Thank you nelly - I do find it strange that he's already had MRI and EEG but ony now seeing the neurologist. All will become clear tomorrow I suppose - another restless night!
