'I cannot change what I have said about the parents views in my report, because both I and the class teacher don't agree with you about them.'

Autism Advisory Teacher

Bizarre! Make sure your views are well known even if you have to shout them.

IndigoBell · 26/10/2010 22:01

Confused Far out! They really are trying to 'prove' their point of view.

It just gets worse and worse doesn't it. I truly can't belive how bad you have been treated.

Is there not some ombudsman or something you can take them to?

It looks like some of the clauses in the sentence don't agree either ! Is English her first language ?

StarkAndWitchesWillFindYou · 27/10/2010 19:28

No, it was my poor English. I was just relaying the gist.

Same Advisory Teacher:

'With regards to your question about Evidence-based practice, there is a professionals meeting being arranged that you will be invited to where we can discuss who's responsibility this is!'

Hmm big time!

Stark

Serious question - Have you thought about moving home to get away from this particularly useless LA?

Their incompetence seems to be endemic.

I just feel that another decade of dealing with these fuckwits will drive you insane.

Drastic I know ... but what price sanity?

Our County is divided into Boroughs. We are now intending to a more 'middle-class' Borough and are preparing for a consultation with an excellent school with a good SENCo and better (although untested) Autism Advisory Teacher.

The school is the type that attracts demanding parents who expect details regularly of their children's progress. As a result they have good communciation systems and strategies as well as rigorous progress monitoring. I am hopeful.

You're right we have to move. This is the pits. Unfortunately we won't be about to move out of the County entirely though for some complex reasons.

The school sounds good. Hope it works out well.

Well, I don't reckon I'll ever be happy now, given our journey so far and the sheer ignorance and incompetence I have seen. There is nothing I'll ever receive without suspicion.

But I certainly believe we can improve massively on what we have, and this plan seems to be a good one currently.
