Well we took Dd3 to meet the new pead this morning and what a breath of fresh air she was.
She said she believes what we are saying
. And said she would give a dx if she had the support of another professional. She doesn't feel that the SALT is seeing ASD, I disaree but the most recent SALT report was a bit vague.
Anyway she looked at Dd3's handwriting and did some coordination stuff with her. She read the notes I had done for school. She also asked about sensory stuff. She seemed to ask alot more stuff than the other one who was only interested in behaviour.
she is referring Dd3 to CAMHS and OT. I am in shock I can't believe she is referring her for OT, I suppose we will have to wait ages but hey.
I gave her the diary before we left and she said she would forward it to camhs and ot.
Dd3 was really cross with me again but the pead was good with her and I think she is realising we are trying to help her. We had talked about her clumsiness at the clinic and as soon as we got home she crashed into a chair and hurt herelf so I was able to say that that is the kind of thing we are trying to help with.
.
Oh well back to the waiting game, but a successful morning.
I feel wrung out.[hgrin].
