DD wants a sister

DD (3, NT) says she wants a sister who is going to play with her and not push her. She does not want a brother. I feel sad as I see why she feels that way as DS is always very self motivated and behaves like an only child (he has autism, I know). I don't think DD is at the age when I can explain to her about DS's difficulties. Everytime we go shopping DD is asking me when I am going to buy her the baby sister Smile. Did anybody manage to make their ASD child play together with their NT child, if so, how?

Hi, dd2 has ASD and dd1 has AS but is very different from dd2, they have only just started playing together (dd1 is 6 and dd2 is 4). It must be very tough for her as she is to young to understand why ds is like he is Sad. Is there anyone who can look after ds when you and dd have a day out together?

I guess it is easier for my dd's as dd1 (almost NT) is the eldest and kind of looks out for dd2, she also understands that dd2 has ASD and can not do all the things she can do.
