yet another statement question - amendments this time

[missunderstanding]

have just recieved an amendment notice which is all good exactly what i want but does anyone know how long the LA have got to implement it.
It is a change of placement one. The statement names ds1's nursery which he left in july. amendment notice states somewhere different to where he is now but he cant start until funding is agreed. LA have agreed him a place (in a unit) but not given start date.
anyone know how long they have got. All i can find in COP states 8 weeks for amendement from notice.

I don't understand the funding thing. Does the new statement name the UNIT explicity?

If it names it then funding has nothing to do with it.

thanks for replying the statement names the school and unit in the amendment, he is already in mainstream at the school. But at present his statement names the nursery he was at until july.
I think the problem is the unit is full so they are having to create a space for him which means extra staff in the unit.
I will phone LA today to find out more

Before you phone, decide what you would like the ammended statement to say, the exact wording that is CONCRETE. You then have a benchline to negotiate from or not.
