Dev I will empathise! Ds2 has been hard work today 2 red cards this morning.. But has settled down ( hoping he'll be reasonable when we go and see sancti later on)
dd is just whingy and I didn't sleep that much!

Can you make a list of the priorities and sort through when your head has cleared?

daisy5678 · 16/10/2010 14:26

Know the feeling! Is there anything that he enjoys and can do alone for a bit, even if it's just TV or something, just to give you some space?

Ampersand44 · 16/10/2010 14:55

Sympathy from here too. Numb has become my default mode, I think it is self-protection, but it is rubbish isn't it.

The day began with DS coming into bed obsessing about something he wants us to buy again. He was hysterical, we don't care about him, it is his last ever chance (I curse the day he discovered Ebay - made worse by the time countdown!) ... and I just know this can go on and on and on for DAYS. Also my heart sinks as it comes after managing an hour in school on Friday and being due to do the same on Monday.

Hope you have been able to get at least some of the things done you need to.

Ugh. That's how I was feeling, yesterday after a very difficult couple of days with DS1. The feeling finally melted away when he spent yesterday evening nicely snuggled up on the sofa with me.

Hope you can clear your head and your to-do list a bit.

devientenigma · 16/10/2010 21:05

Thanks Guys. The day just went further downhill and still hasn't ended!!
Though I did take your advice and wrote a to do list.............which I lost!!!

Awww dev.. That made me have have an empathic but ironic giggle!

My next piece of advice is unless it will blow up, orsomeone might get hurt.. It can wait..
Sometimes you just need to let things slide!

Oh and I met sancti today ( hope she didn't think I smelt like vicks vapour rub)!..

devientenigma · 16/10/2010 21:12

Of course you didn't smell of vicks, cos there was the whiff of lempsip also lol.
As for blowing and someone getting hurt, ds is busy kicking off as dd is sleeping out!!!
I can't stand this but she needs her life also.

But lovely to meet her even though she was being a roman emporess(sp) at the time :o
I think I may have cme across as vacant.. But I was struggling to hear much as my ears are really seriously bunged up!
First impressions huh!

Whiff of lemsip:o

TheArsenicCupCake · 16/10/2010 21:25

And her two older ds's are very lovely :) and ds2 was very relieved that they didn't really expect him to be social.. :)

devientenigma · 16/10/2010 21:27

Did you go on your own??

OP posts:
TheArsenicCupCake · 16/10/2010 21:33

No didn't see the carnival.. Really not well enough to stand out in the cold and ds was having a ouchy hearing day today ( hes also had the bug)..

But dragged dh along to make sure she isn't a hairy trucker... Which I can vouch that she isn't :o
ds1 didn't go because he's was having man flu in front of the xbox instead ( before you panic.. He's my big boy!! Lol)

devientenigma · 16/10/2010 21:42
