Well, I thought at 4 we'd be having conversations and doing all sorts, but I look at her playing with her new Night Garden figures and I love her to bits!

Happy Birthday DD! Grin

Happy Birthday ! Did you get a Night Garden cake ?

FeedjoToTheMummies · 16/10/2010 08:58

no, I should have!

I got her a pig shaped cake as she loves pink pigs! She is allergic to cake so will just want to play with it.

Would have made her an eggless one but she doesn't eat any kind of cake (thankfully, she has a severe egg allergy!)

Happy Birthday - hope she has a lovely day :).

I thought my DS2 was the only child in the world that doesnt like cake, so I am glad that he isnt. Of all his odd behavior traits, this is the one that I understand least, especially if its chocolate cake :o

Happy birthday!

Ds doesnt do cake either, he has an egg allergy too so think he just got used to not having it and refuses it now!

FeedjoToTheMummies · 16/10/2010 09:24

I got her a box of chocolate Freddos instead. Smile

Thanks all!

Happy birthday!

I had exactly the same downer running up to DS2's 4th birthday, earlier this year. I thin for me it was the feeling that he wasn't a toddler any more and yet he was. He got some lovely Night Garden toys, too :)

Oh, and DS2's only just got into cake and chocolate and all that. He even managed a gooey milk chocolate teacake with his lunch, today, though he spent about 5 minutes touching his lips with it before he dared take a bite!

auntevil · 16/10/2010 17:04

A big happy birthday Smile

My DS is 5 and he still gets weepy at the end of the Night Garden theme tune. He has to have a hug. Toddler at heart!

Happy birthday to DD! Smile

PhlebasIsShrieking · 16/10/2010 22:03

So glad to hear it was a good day Grin

As predicted ds didn't go for cake (or indeed anything else - he didn't eat all day then had 4 bowls of shreddies for dinner!); but he had a lovely day too. He's spent the day saying happy birthday!

Eveiebaby · 16/10/2010 22:11
