I just wanted to post while I'm feeling positive about DD and ASD! I feel so lucky that my HV and GP took my concerns seriously and referred DD immediately. We have the most wonderful portage worker who has been a lifesaver for me. The SALT made a personal recommendation to get DD into a special nursery class - just had confirmation that DD got her place to start after Christmas Grin.

DD's current nursery are incredible and have been on autism workshops, to which they have invited me. My family is supportive, my friends are great. All in all, so far, so good!

That's it really, I know things won't always go so smoothly, but I'm learning loads from you ladies too. Thank you xxx

that's lovely, really nice to hear. I know we too have amazing portage, and great family, (we have some numpties too, but sometimes it is nice to just value the brill ones.) Hope things carry on that way for you.Smile

That's great news.
Get your joys where you can, store them up. They usually outweigh the bad stuff in my case, and help me retain a sense of proportion and hope.
Despair is so corrosive.

Ah thanks Ladies! I'm just enjoying everything going well for the time being. I know we'll hit tough spots, and I really wish we weren't in this position, but hey!
