DD is 4 tomorrow, was feeling a bit down about it.

Was at a parent council meeting today at Nursery. When I came out they said they were going to do DD's birthday celebration and I could stay and watch.

They all sang "Happy Birthday" , gave DD a card and cake and she was grinning her little head off, she was really pleased. Smile

I didn't think she was even aware of her birthday!

That's lovely Fanjo!

It is my ds' birthday on Sunday (he's 4 too) - I've been feeling really sad about it - last he'd just been diagnosed but I think this year is harder because I'm so ground down by the slog of it all. I love him so much & I'm so proud of him - I mustn't think about how it should've been :( He's having a tea party tomorrow & I've been baking all afternoon (not that he'll eat any of it)!

Yes, that's it for me too, I always think how I expected her to be at 4 and get very Sad. But she is a lovely happy child.

Not having a party, but wish I was now as I think she might have enjoyed it after all..just going to visit my mum and auntie, visiting inlaws next week so might have a little party with her cousins.

ah yes we're inviting his cousins & the children of my best friend - so there will be quite a lot of children but the youngest is 7 which is perfect for ds (they all totally indulge him!). There's no way I would've been brave enough to approach the nursery mums!

I was a bit reluctant to pay out ££s for nursery kids to attend a party when DD has not been invited to one party in a year of nursery (and there must have been at least 20)...petty maybe. Grin
