First school parents meeting

Meeting tomorrow with class teacher and SENCO. Need help from you wise ladies. What shall I ask - apart from is IEP done and can I have a look at (have looked at few IEP threads already)?

Do I nag about the statement much? What shall I expect?

IEP's are meant to be set & agreed in consultation with the parents.
Is your dc statmented? If not what support is your dc getting?

yes statemented, in a unit attached to MS. I only got a letter to choose a date didnt say what the agenda is. Thanks

So the IEP should link in with the statement areas/targets.
Take the statement and then look at the IEP see where it fits with the statment, also use your gut instinct, do they sound like realistic targets for your dc.
Are all the IEP targets supported by reasonable strategies to ehlp him achieve them and how will the results be measured.

Also don't forget to discuss the normal stuff. like how he's settling in etc etc. See if they've got to know your dc and their personality yet.
